SPACENOW will HMIR (Hidden Micro Image Retrieval) process your favorite Solar System object
If you are an Astro Imager and there´s an object that you want to visualize the HMIR way, here´s what you need to do:
HMIR PRE-REQUISITES FOR PROCESSING A SINGLE SHOT COLOR CCD IMAGE
- The images need to be taken with either a SBIG or SBIG /CCDOps compatible Color CCD camera through an 8" telescope or bigger
- All images need to be in unaltered FIT format with only the automatic dark subtraction performed (no BIASES nor FLAT FIELDS subtracted/NO FILTERS either)
- HMIR requires ccd cameras set in high resolution and dozens or even hundreds of shots of the same object, all made with very short exposures
- While still on CCDOps, the excess luminosity has to be controlable in the range/back dialog box in a manner that the targeted object gets cleared of all excess white luminance and looks grey
- The chosen photos need to be in perfect focus and objects displayed are required to show perfectly round or near round shapes and little or no background noise
- After sifting through your shots, no matter how many you took, choose no more than three (3) and e-mail them to the following address: HMIRTECHNIQUE@GMAIL.COM
- When mailing an image to SPACENOW, you need to specify your target object in case the object is caught on camera with more objects around it. Example:
If one of the Galilean moons is your object and it is shown with other Galilean Moons along with the obvious ominipresence of Jupiter, you´ll need to write the name of the target moon and its position in the photo. This requirement
extends for similar situations in the Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto systems.
- SPACENOW will analyse the photos sent and reserves the right to reject any or all three images if they don´t suit the pre-requisites aforementioned and/or are considered substandard
- If SPACENOW accepts the images within 5 (five) days of the date sent in, the chosen image will be HMIR processed and you´ll get your fully developed Solar System object just as you grew acustomed to seeing them on SPACENOW
- SPACENOW will take in one processing per person/e-mail address per month only

Now aim for any object that you always wanted to see from Mercury to Pluto and shoot as many photos as you can. Pick 3 shots, mail them to SPACENOW and we´ll do the rest.
