The most restless of all bodies in the system, Io defies any previously conceived notion of moon behavior.
Its many active volcanoes spew sulfur vapor space high and its ever-changing hyperactive multicolored crust transforms Io´s surface slowly but permanently in a way that it will look different from time to time, cosmologically speaking.
The fact that these eruptions can be seen from Earth in these never before released photos, gives us the impression that after all, our planetary neighbors aren’t as far as we previously imagined.
