BETA BLUE - Beta Crucis

Red giant star gamma crucis is the 3rd brightest star in the southern cross constellation.It is located about 88 light years from the sun. It is a double star with the companion lying 2 arcminutes away in the sky,but 400 light years from the solar system.

In portuguese speaking countries it is known as the Rubidea because of its yellowish signature.
