SOLID BALL OF ROCK - Callisto

Callisto is the most heavily cratered space rock we see around.

Even Mercury and the Moon don’t show as many impact craters as this dark surfaced satellite does.

Of all solar system moons, Callisto ranks third in size right after Ganymede and Titan.

Its rocky consistence is wrapped in an icy crust and the surface shows dark areas where the terrain shares the space with icy patches seen in white.
