BETA BLUE - Beta Crucis

Blue giant star Beta crucis is the second brightest star in the southern cross constellation.It is located at 353 light years from the sun and has an apparent magnitude of 1.31. The other name it is known for,MIMOSA,comes from the pinkish hue found in its spectrum and here unveiled as the result of a big portion of its corona emenating a dark yellowish tone.
