
One of the most phantasmagoric worlds around Uranus, Ariel stands out as the most systematically crisscrossed by heavily carved trenches.
Some of these cut the moon´s surface as deep as 10 km and run 622 km in length, being second only to the huge trench on Mars.
The overall appearance of this moon strongly resembles Titania, what makes them look like sidereal “doppelgängers” of each other.
